he NYCC was founded
for the special purpose of bringing to the Mass repertory from the glorious
thousand-year history of sacred music written for the Roman Catholic Church.
If you are a singer, particularly one with a Roman Catholic background, and
are interested in exploring this treasury of sacred music in a liturgical
setting—there is a home for you here.
Admission to the choir is based upon voice quality and reasonable
music-reading ability as determined by the director. Our performance season is September
through June. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at Siena
College St.
Mary of the Angels Chapel, 515 Loudon Road (Rt. 9),
Loudonville, NY. Depending on the fall performance schedule, rehearsals may
begin in late August. Singers are asked to pay annual membership dues of $50 per year ($25 for students),
which include use of all music.
If you are interested in joining this unique group, contact our director,
Dr. Muriel Maharidge or
Mr. Thomas Herrmann by
email or phone at (518) 399-8904.
